Born in 1990 in Taiwan, Chia Huang is a visual artist currently in her final year at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and a graduate of Villa Arson in Nice. Her work incorporates photography, painting, collage, and video. Focusing on individuals living on the margins of society, the artist develops a collaborative practice with her subjects, creating collective projects that combine documentary photography and drawing. She has exhibited her work at renowned institutions, including the Rencontres d’Arles, Palais de Tokyo, Luma Arles, Maison Européenne de la Photographie, MoCA in Taipei, Taipei Performing Arts Center, and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 2024, she was awarded the Dior Photography and Visual Arts Award for Young Talents.

Née en 1990 à Taïwan, Chia Huang est une artiste visuelle actuellement en dernière année à l’École des Beaux-Arts de Paris et diplômée de la Villa Arson à Nice. Son travail incorpore photographie, peinture, collage et vidéo. Suivant des personnes vivant en marge de la société, l’artiste développe une pratique collaborative avec ses modèles en construisant des projets collectifs composés de photographies documentaires et de dessins amateurs. Elle a notamment exposé aux Rencontres d’Arles, au Palais de Tokyo, à Luma Arles, au MoCA à Taipei, au Taipei Performing Arts Center, aux Beaux-Arts de Paris. En 2024, elle a reçu le Prix Dior de la Photographie et des Arts Visuels.
